The lite version of Twitter has a small size, less than 1 MB and works through a web browser instead of custom applications. This application is designed to minimize the use of data and to load quickly on a slow Internet connection.

The lite version of Twitter is also equipped with a data saver feature which will reduce the use of mobile data use. With this feature, you can reduce data usage by up to 70 percent.
